Sea Wolves of Davide Rivalta is an artistic installation of sculptures made of fiberglass & aluminium recalling the next Melges World League and Persico 69F regattas which will be hosted by the Marina di Puntaldia, where aesthetic encounters and sailing competition will take place.
A herd of wolves becomes an unexpected, amazing encounter, disclosing the thrill linked to the competitions and the arrival of the sailors, who are the real sea wolves landed in Puntaldia in order to defend or gain a prize. They appear like extraordinary creatures, an ancestral presence, provided with extra power.
Davide Rivalta (Bologna 1974) is professor of sculptural art at Accademia di Belle Arti of Bologna and his art works are part of famous and important private and public collections, such as the ones at the National Gallery of Modern Art of Rome.
Fabio Tiboni is an independent art curator and director of SpondaArt art advisory.
